Shag Tracks

Shag Tracks is the club's annual dance party held in August.  Tickets are limited to 350 attendees.  This year will be our 29th year of Shag Tracks and is being held on Aug  16, 17, 18, 19 2023.  Currently the dance starts on Wednesday night at the Elks Lodge #91.  On Thursday - Friday - Saturday the dancing moves to the Alhambra Shrine Temple.  The Shrine provides transportation between the dance designated hotel, the Best Western Arbour Inn, and the Shrine Temple.  Dinner is also provided at the Shrine on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening before the dance starts.

This is only part of the party.  On Friday and Saturday during the day there is a pool party at the host hotel, the Best Western Arbour Inn. Pool side dancing and a dance lesson takes place.  Lunch on both Friday and Saturday is provided.

Shag Tracks is a BYOB event.  Some beer and wine is available until it runs out.

The net proceeds from Shag Tracks are donated to a local charity.  Over 25 years the Choo Choo Shag Club has donated more than $190,000.  For the past 13  years the Alhambra Shrine hospital transportation fund is the beneficiary of our donation.  Our fund helps transport local children to and from the Shrine hospitals.
