Club  History & Welcome

Welcome to the Choo Choo Shag Club.  We hope you will stop by our Club and enjoy an evening of dancing with us.   Here's a little about our Club.

The Choo Choo Shag Club was chartered in April of 1995 and became a member of the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs in the summer of 1995.  In 2001 we were the first shag club to become a member of the American Bop Association.  

 

Our membership runs about 180 members with over one third of the folks being a member for 10 years or more. It's a credit to our members to have such a dynamic and active club putting on one of the best annual dances and pool parties called Shag Tracks.
