Duties of Officers and Directors
A brief description of the duties of our officers and directors is described below. For a more detailed description, please refer to the Club Bylaws.
President ~ As the chief officer of the organization, the President presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the general membership. He/she is responsible for supervision of the planning and execution of all projects, activities, affairs of the club, subject to the control of the Board as the Board serves the wishes of the general membership.
Vice-President Social ~ Is responsible for carrying out all affairs of the organization relating to parties, including music, dance events, and dance instructions. He/she supervises and coordinates the activities of the Director of Parties and the Director of Music/Dance.
Vice-President Membership ~ Is responsible for acquisition and retention of members including records, publicity, directories, intra-club communications and the club newsletter. He/she supervises and coordinates the activities of the Directors of Membership, Communications and Publicity.
Secretary ~ Gives notice of all regular and special meetings of the Board and of the General Membership. He/she handles correspondence for the organization and keeps a record of the membership.
Treasurer ~ Will collect and deposit all receipts for all activities of the club. He/she will maintain all financial records and report on the financial condition of the club to the Board and to the General Membership.
Director Of Parties ~ Organizes all aspects of the Club's parties including facilities, food, decorations and clean-up. He/she promotes the club through hospitality to our guests at all party events.
Director Of Music & Dance Plans the DJ schedule for club nights and enlists qualified instructors for club night dance lessons. He/she plans and carries out periodic dance workshops. He/she promotes the growth of the individual club member through learning opportunities.

Director Of Membership Organizes a membership campaign each year. He/She promotes the club through distribution of information and through the enlistment of new members. He/She is the club greeter and is available on club night to answer questions concerning membership.
Director Of Communications Supervises all communications within the club membership. He/She assists in an annual membership campaign and promotes the club through creating and advancing a familial bond within the club.
Director Of Publicity Promotes the club and it's activities to the public through the local media, through the ACSC publications and through the web site. He/She cultivates relationships with other clubs throughout the Association for the purpose of advancing the club's reputation within the dance community.
